Tana Dania, 23, and Frank Jackson, 19, were reportedly arrested on Monday, July 14, and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on murder charges. And after asking the public’s assistance in identifying a third suspect, Sac Sheriff announced today, Thursday, July 17, they had arrested James Wallace, 28, and booked him into the Sacramento County Jail on a charge of attempted murder.

According to Sac Sheriff, on Sunday, July 13 at 1:15 am, patrol deputies responded to a business in the 1900 block of Fulton Avenue after receiving multiple reports of gunfire at the location. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly found a shooting victim — later identified as Tyrell Lamont Hall, 20 — who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives determined up to five people in total were shot during the incident. During their investigation, detectives deduced there was a large number of people in the parking lot of the business when two separate fights broke out, resulting in more than one subject firing a weapon.

The area of the shooting is a kind of central location for local recreational smokers. The Hookah Lounge, at 1968 Fulton, was said to be the main scene of the activity Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Also in the same building is a store called Smoking Imports, which deals in all kinds of water pipes and smoking implements. Just past an auto repair business along the street is another “Hookah Lounge” – the Shiska Lounge – and the Blow & Tell Smoke shop, another dealer in water pipes and smoking supplies. The location that the Hookah Lounge occupies was until recently a marijuana collective called “The Reserve – A Non Profit Collective” which provided medical marijuana to authorized members.

Detectives have reportedly not yet identified a specific motive for this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115. Kristina Hardison, a friend of Tyrell Hall, has set up a Go Fund Me site to raise money for his memorial and family. As of this writing, $410.00 has been raised, with a goal of $5,000. She writes on the site “Tyrell was an amazing person, with so much depth and personality, and we are deeply saddened that he is no longer here with us physically.”
