“How scared would you be at 1:15 am to find a stranger in your car parked in your driveway? We got the call and immediately went into action. Last night, SCPD quickly responded to a home on Hagemann Avenue when the resident reported seeing a suspicious person in their vehicle in the driveway. Officers surprised the suspect, Christopher Beresh, while he was still in the car. Hands Up – Get Out.

Mr. Beresh was detained and found in possession of a concealed fixed blade knife, methamphetamine, a scale, and a large amount of what appears to be stolen property. Christopher Beresh is also on probation for multiple counts of various property crimes.

Christopher Beresh, 25-year-old transient in Santa Cruz, was arrested for Possession on Concealed Dirk/Dagger, 11378 H&S Possession of Controlled Substance; Sales, 10852 VC Vehicle Tampering, 463 (c) PC Petty Theft; State of Emergency, and 120275 H&S Violation of the Shelter In Place Order.”
