Santa Cruz man allegedly found with drugs, paraphernalia, counterfeit money

A Santa Cruz man who is on searchable probation was arrested after drugs, paraphernalia, and counterfeit money were allegedly found on him.

According to a press release, around 11 PM on Wednesday, April 15, police made contact with 56-year-old Tyrone Adams after catching him lurking around closed businesses downtown which, in addition to being suspicious, was also in violation of the current statewide shelter-in-place order.

Adams, a known transient, was ultimately taken into custody on suspicion of possession drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and burglary tools, as well as misappropriation of lost property and possession of counterfeit money.
