Bank Robbery Suspects Get Away, But Not For Long

A robbery-in-progress alarm was activated Thursday morning, March 5th triggering Clovis Police Officers to rush to Union Bank on Herndon Avenue.

The suspect, using no visible weapons, handed the teller a note demanding money. Before police arrived, bank staff alerted dispatch the suspect ran southbound.

Police searched for the suspect but he was not located, making off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Clovis Police Detectives and the Federal Bureau of Investigation pieced together surveillance video from the bank and surrounding locations to identify the suspect and the vehicle in which the suspect fled.

Video also confirmed a second suspect was involved as the getaway driver.

The Visalia Police Department assisted in the case by helping identify and locate both suspects. 29-year old Jacoby Jackson and 31-year old Collins Keanche, residents of Visalia, were arrested by VPS on March 6th for robbery, burglary, conspiracy, and probation violations. They were both transported back to Fresno and booked at Fresno County Jail.

Keanche has since bonded out. Jackson remains in custody at the Fresno County Jail as of the time of this writing with bail set at $30,000.
