Madera Landscaper Arrested for False Imprisonment

An arrest was made in Madera last Thursday following an apparent incident of domestic abuse.

According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, 34-year-old Anthony Ordaz was apprehended on charges of battery on a non-cohabitant with whom he’d had relations, threatening with the intent to terrorize, false imprisonment, and interfering with an officer.

The arrest was carried out late in the evening by officers with the Madera Police Department.

According to the MCDC reports, Ordaz, who is from Fresno, works in landscaping. Records also show that this is not Ordaz’s first arrest — it has been confirmed that he was arrested in June 2010 for drug-related charges and for stealing a vehicle.

He is currently held on a bond of $61,000.
