“A man wanted for sexually assaulting two of his juvenile relatives in 2018 has been taken into police custody.
The suspect, 50-year-old Omar Ricardo Baron of Santa Ana, had been evading police capture since November 2018. Santa Ana police featured him in one of their issues of “Most Wanted Wednesday” in March 2019. He was finally detained on Monday, August 2, 2021.
The assault took place on November 2, 2018. “Omar Ricardo Baron sexually assaulted two of his family members, ages 10 and 13,” according to the police news release. “One of the victims disclosed to an older relative who confronted Baron on the allegations and contacted SAPD to report the crimes.”
By the time police deputies made it to Baron’s residence, he had already fled the scene, nowhere to be found. On November 19th, a $1,000,000 warrant was issued for Baron’s arrest.
Baron has been charged with oral copulations and lewd acts with a child.”
