VALLEJO, CA — “Recently, Solano County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the City of Vallejo Contract Services responded to a reported disturbance involving a subject with a firearm, near Magazine Street and Porter Street.

Deputies located the suspect in the 1000 block of Porter Street. When deputies attempted to stop him, the suspect fled on foot, repeatedly reaching toward his waistband. During the pursuit, deputies saw the suspect fall and heard an object slide across the pavement. The subject continued fleeing before attempting to enter a passing vehicle. Deputies ultimately took him into custody without further incident.

Deputies retraced the pursuit path and located a loaded Glock .45-caliber handgun with an extended magazine underneath a parked vehicle. The firearm had a live round in the chamber and 20 rounds in the magazine.

The suspect was booked into the Solano County Jail on charges including felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, resisting/obstructing an officer, and exhibiting a firearm in a threatening manner.”
