MURRIETA, CA — A recent traffic stop initiated for a vehicle code violation resulted in the arrest of a driver on multiple charges, including driving under the influence, narcotics possession, and weapon offenses.
Officers executed the stop after observing a traffic violation, and during their interaction with the driver, officers determined that the individual was operating the vehicle while under the influence. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
During a search of the vehicle conducted incident to the arrest, officers located methamphetamine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and brass knuckles.
Law enforcement personnel took the driver into custody and transported the individual to jail, where they were booked on charges relating to driving under the influence, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
