ORANGE, CA – An investigation initiated by an anonymous community tip resulted in the seizure of narcotics and firearms and the arrest of a convicted felon in the 900 block of East La Veta Avenue.
Detectives with the Special Investigations Unit launched the inquiry after receiving reports from a local resident regarding suspected illegal drug activity at the location. Following a period of surveillance during which detectives observed activity consistent with illegal drug transactions, investigators obtained a search warrant for the property.
Upon executing the search warrant, law enforcement personnel recovered approximately 40 firearms, multiple high-capacity magazines, and a quantity of fentanyl from the residence.
Officers arrested the suspect, a convicted felon, at the scene. Authorities subsequently transported the individual to the Orange County Jail, where he was booked on charges including felon in possession of a firearm, several additional firearms violations, and possession of narcotics while armed.
