(H.E.A.T.) Task Force Arrests Six in Juvenile Human Trafficking Investigation
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CAN — Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Human Exploitation and Trafficking (H.E.A.T.) Task Force concluded a multi-month investigation into a group involved in commercial sex trafficking. During the operation, several minor sex trafficking victims were recovered.
Working alongside the Stanislaus County Probation Department, task force detectives connected the activity to an apartment in Modesto where multiple suspects and victims resided. Law enforcement personnel arrested six individuals in connection with the investigation.
Five adult suspects were booked into the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Detention Center on charges including human trafficking of a minor, pimping, pandering, and criminal conspiracy. They were identified as:
Reginald Williams, 19, of Modesto
A sixth suspect, a juvenile from Modesto, was booked into the Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on similar charges. All individuals are currently held on bail amounts relative to their charges.
This case brings the year-to-date totals for the H.E.A.T. Task Force to nine juvenile victims recovered and nine related arrests for human trafficking of a minor. The investigation involved assistance from the Stanislaus County Probation Department and the Modesto Police Department. Authorities confirmed that victim details are being withheld pursuant to California confidentiality laws.
