Fresno Man Arrested on Multiple Charges After Report of Domestic Disturbance
FRESNO, CA — “On June 20, 2026, at approximately 11:04 pm, Fresno Police officers responded to a confidential location regarding a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Officers found that the victim and her husband, 41-year-old James Austin Paul Reyes, got into an argument that turned physical.
Reyes was going through the victim’s property without consent and when confronted, Reyes pushed her against the wall. The victim attempted to leave the room but Reyes pinned her arm against the door, preventing her from leaving for approximately five minutes. The victim sustained visible injuries to her arms and was held against her will. On Sunday, August 16, 2026, at approximately 3:30 pm, Fresno Police officers got an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) hit of Suspect Reyes’ vehicle at West Shaw Avenue and North Sonora Avenue. Officers located the vehicle in a nearby parking lot and saw suspect Reyes walking to his vehicle. Suspect Reyes was taken into custody for domestic violence charges relating to this investigation including felony domestic violence and false imprisonment. Suspect Reyes was booked into the Fresno County Jail.”
