Woodland Police Net Three Arrests During Targeted DUI Enforcement Operation
WOODLAND, CA — The Woodland Police Department released results following a targeted driving-under-the-influence enforcement operation conducted within the city limits.
During the single-shift detail, which ran from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., two dedicated patrol officers conducted focused traffic enforcement aimed at identifying impaired drivers and enforcing traffic laws. Throughout the six-hour operation, officers initiated 11 traffic stops based on observed vehicle code violations.
Following the stops, officers conducted two standardized field sobriety evaluations to determine driver impairment. The evaluations resulted in two separate arrests for driving under the influence. Additionally, officers arrested one individual on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
All individuals taken into custody during the detail were transported and booked into the Yolo County Jail. Police officials stated that designated DUI enforcement operations will continue throughout the year to monitor high-traffic corridors, enforce speed limits, and promote general roadway safety across the municipality.
