SFPD Northern Station Blitz Nets Six Arrests in Four-Hour Retail Theft Operation
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — On July 29, 2026, San Francisco Police officers assigned to Northern Station conducted a four-hour targeted retail theft enforcement operation at a Whole Foods grocery store located at the intersection of Franklin and California Streets.
Working in coordination with store staff, officers observed multiple individuals selecting and concealing items before attempting to exit the business without offering payment. The single-day operation resulted in the recovery of more than $1,000 in stolen merchandise, which was returned to the establishment, and the apprehension of six suspects.
Three individuals were booked into the San Francisco County Jail on retail theft allegations and existing outstanding warrants:
Cauieh Santos Antonio, 25, booked for misdemeanor petty theft.
Margarita Maganatun, 42, booked for misdemeanor petty theft.
Lemuel Leaner Brown, 63, booked for felony petty theft with prior convictions and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Three additional suspects involved in the enforcement operation were issued citations and released at the scene. The department noted that it continues to collaborate with local merchants to conduct organized retail crime operations throughout the city.
