Officers assigned to the CHP Modesto Area office located the matching vehicle traveling on Mitchell Road near Whitmore Avenue and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield to emergency lights and siren, initiating a vehicle pursuit through the surrounding area. The pursuit concluded when the suspect vehicle collided with an unoccupied parked automobile. Law enforcement personnel confirmed that no injuries occurred as a result of the collision.

Following the crash, the driver and passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Officers pursued the individuals and took both suspects into custody shortly after.

A subsequent records check confirmed that the vehicle operated by the suspects had been reported stolen out of Oakland. Both the driver and passenger were booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on multiple felony charges, including vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and evading law enforcement.
