Stolen Murrieta Valley Pony Baseball Equipment Trailer Recovered & Suspect Arrested
MURRIETA, CA — On July 6, 2026, at approximately 5:15 a.m., an unidentified individual entered a secured area at the Murrieta Valley Pony Baseball complex. According to law enforcement, the individual backed a vehicle up to the league’s equipment trailer, attached it, and drove away from the property.
Surveillance cameras at the facility recorded the incident, allowing members of the Murrieta Police Department’s Community Policing Team to identify the vehicle involved. The investigation subsequently led officers to a rural property located in San Bernardino County.
In coordination with the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail Task Force, investigators conducted an operation at the location. Officers deployed a police department Unmanned Aircraft System to observe the property and located the stolen equipment trailer on the premises. After obtaining a search warrant, law enforcement personnel executed the warrant, took the suspect into custody, and recovered the trailer. The equipment trailer has since been returned to the Murrieta Valley Pony Baseball League.
