Two Arrested on CSAM Charges After Fairfield Police Carry Out Search Warrant

FAIRFIELD, CA — “Detectives from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office Investigations bureau and the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET), served a search warrant on 7/9/26, in the 3000 block of Springfield Drive in the City of Fairfield.

The warrant was issued based on Cybertips received by investigators alleging the distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). During the service of the search warrant, CSAM was recovered on multiple electronic devices located at the residence.

Zachary Sanders, 29, Fairfield, was arrested at the scene. Sanders was previously arrested by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office on January 14, 2026, for possession and distribution of CSAM.

David Fabiny, 32, Fairfield, is Sanders roommate and was additionally arrested. Fabiny had been taken into custody the previous day on an unrelated warrant by Fairfield PD.

Sanders was booked into Solano County Jail on the following charges:

• Penal Code (PC) 311.11(a)(1) – Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
• PC 311.1(a) – Distribution of Obscene Matter Depicting a Minor
• PC 311.11(c)(2) – Possession of child sexual abuse material involving sadomasochistic abuse or sexual conduct with a minor under 12 years of age (enhancement).
• PC 311.11(c)(1) – Aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material based on volume and/or content (enhancement).
• PC 166(a)(4) – Contempt of Court / Violation of Court Order

Fabiny was booked into Solano County Jail on the following charges:

• PC 311.1 – Distribution of Obscene Matter Depicting a Minor
• PC 311.11(a)(1) – Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
• PC 311.11(c)(2) – Possession of child sexual abuse material involving sadomasochistic abuse or sexual conduct with a minor under 12 years of age (enhancement).
• PC 311.11(c)(1) – Aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material based on volume and/or content (enhancement). Both are being held on $76,667 bail.

This investigation remains active. The Sheriff’s Office works closely with local and federal partners to combat child exploitation and the distribution of CSAM.
