Sonoma County Authorities Reportedly Seize Weapons, 15 Pounds of Meth
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — “Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives have arrested 32-year-old Felipe Vasquez of San Jose for his alleged role in the trafficking and sale of narcotics across Sonoma County.
On July 14, 2026, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Petaluma on a vehicle for the purpose of executing a search warrant. Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Riggs was deployed and alerted on the vehicle’s dashboard. Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Unit executed the search warrant on the vehicle and located approximately 2.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine hidden inside the dashboard.
Narcotics detectives then executed two search warrants, at two residences in Santa Clara County (San Jose and Mountain View) linked to Vasquez. During the residential searches, detectives deployed K-9 Duke, a narcotics-detection canine who located a significant quantity of drugs: 12.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 15 grams of cocaine, along with cash and other evidence of narcotics sales and trafficking.
Additionally, detectives recovered two firearms, one of which was reported stolen in Sonoma County. Vasquez, a prohibited person barred from possessing firearms or ammunition, was taken into custody.
Vasquez was booked into the Main Adult Detention Facility on multiple felony charges, including: Possession of Narcotics for Sale, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm, and Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition.
A bail enhancement was secured, setting his total bail at $230,000.
