San Francisco Police Arrest Three Suspects and Seize Narcotics Following Attempted Vehicle Burglary Response

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) arrested three men and seized nearly 100 grams of narcotics in the city’s Central District early Sunday morning.

According to police reports, Central Station officers responded to the area of Mason and Pine Streets at approximately 3:23 a.m. on July 5, 2026, following reports of a possible vehicle burglary. Upon arrival, officers observed a man lying on the sidewalk near a vehicle who then attempted to flee. While detaining him, officers located and detained two other men in proximity to the same vehicle who also attempted to flee.

A subsequent search of the suspects yielded nearly 50 grams of fentanyl, 23.5 grams of cocaine, and 22 grams of methamphetamine. Officers also seized over $1,000 in U.S. currency.

The three individuals arrested were identified as:

Jaime Cardena Rosales, 37, of Oakland, booked on charges of conspiracy, possession for sale of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, loitering for drug activity, and resisting or delaying an arrest.

Ever Estrada Banegas, 39, of San Francisco, booked on charges of conspiracy, possession for sale of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and loitering for drug activity.

Gurwinder Singh, 32, of Fairfield, booked on charges of conspiracy, possession for sale of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and loitering for drug activity.

All three suspects were transported to the San Francisco County Jail.

The SFPD noted that these arrests follow community reports regarding overnight narcotic sales in the area, including the 900 block of Pine Street. The investigation remains open and active. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411
