Riverside Police Arrest Suspect on Felony Sexual Abuse Charges – Believe There May Be Additional Victims

RIVERSIDE, CA — On September 23, 2025, detectives assigned to the Riverside Police Department’s Sexual Assault/Child Abuse (SACA) Unit initiated an investigation into a report of historical sexual abuse involving a victim.

During the course of the subsequent investigation, detectives identified four additional victims. The reported incidents occurred approximately 25 years ago when the victims were minors residing in the Casa Blanca neighborhood of Riverside, California.

The investigation identified Christopher James Ray Sr., a resident of the Casa Blanca neighborhood, as the suspect in these incidents. On February 10, 2026, Ray was arrested on Waverly St in the city of Corona and subsequently booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple felony sexual abuse charges, where he remains in custody. Ray’s next court date is scheduled for September 9th at 8:30am at the Riverside Hall of Justice. 

Detectives believe there may be additional victims or individuals possessing information related to this active investigation.
