Santa Ana Police Impound Two Vehicles and Arrest Drivers for Reckless Driving Following Street Exhibition

SANTA ANA, CA – The Santa Ana Police Department Traffic Unit impounded two vehicles and arrested two individuals for reckless driving. The enforcement action followed an incident where vehicles were operated to perform burnouts at the intersection of Bristol Street and McFadden Avenue on Tuesday night, following a World Cup match.

The operators of the vehicles had covered their license plates during the driving exhibition. Despite the concealment of the license plates, investigators with the Traffic Unit successfully identified both of the involved vehicles.

The drivers were subsequently located and taken into custody by law enforcement officers. The arrested individuals have been identified as 26-year-old Yobany Lucero and 20-year-old Bryan Ladino, both of whom are residents of Santa Ana. Both Lucero and Ladino face legal charges for reckless driving.

The Santa Ana Police Department stated that covering license plates does not grant anonymity to drivers and indicated that operating vehicles for racing or burnouts on public streets results in law enforcement consequences under the department’s zero-tolerance policy.
