Fourth Suspect Apprehended in Arizona for Watsonville Attempted Homicide Investigation

WATSONVILLE, CA – A multi-jurisdictional investigation into a June stabbing in Watsonville has resulted in a fourth arrest following the execution of a search warrant in Arizona, police officials announced.

The initial incident occurred on June 11, 2026, at a commercial establishment located in the 200 block of East Lake Avenue. A 46-year-old male sustained injuries during the encounter and was treated with expectations of recovery. Within days of the incident, Watsonville Police Department detectives identified and arrested three initial suspects associated with the case.

As the investigation continued, detectives developed further leads that implicated a fourth suspect, identified as 33-year-old Bryan Rascon. The tracking of the suspect led California investigators to Arizona, where they coordinated with the Arizona Department of Public Safety State Gang Task Force.

The joint operation culminated in the service of a search warrant at an Arizona residence, where Rascon was taken into custody without incident. Authorities confirmed that Rascon will undergo extradition proceedings to face booking into the Santa Cruz County Jail on charges of attempted homicide.
