Law Enforcement Recovers and Returns Stolen Flag Following Business Theft Investigation
HUNGINGTON, CA – Through a follow-up investigation, law enforcement officers identified a suspect who had cut the zip ties securing a flag to a local business and removed it.
On Friday, officers contacted the suspect at his residence, located the missing flag, and returned it to the business owner.
The incident occurred during national celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States and the ongoing participation of the United States National Soccer Team in the FIFA World Cup. Local authorities noted that the theft of property, including flags, is subject to criminal penalties and can result in incarceration.
