Felony Fraud and Embezzlement Charges Filed in Bishop Paiute Tribal Program Investigations

INYO COUNTY, CA — The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office, the Bishop Paiute Tribe, and the Inyo County District Attorney’s Office have announced the filing of multiple independent felony fraud and theft-related cases in the Inyo County Superior Court. The cases involve the alleged misuse of funds or property connected to Bishop Paiute Tribal programs, businesses, and assistance programs.

The individual cases are detailed below:

People v. Adrienne Johnette Dondero-Small (Case No. 26FB73686 / ICSO Case No. 26-02-052): Charged with felony aid by misrepresentation over $950 and felony obtaining money, labor, or property by false pretenses over $950.

People v. Kylee Jane Andreas (Case No. 25FB73036 / ICSO Case No. 25-10-045): Charged with felony aid by misrepresentation over $950 and felony obtaining money, labor, or property by false pretenses over $950.

People v. Alejandro Villegas Ruiz (Case No. 26FB73829 / ICSO Case No. 26-06-009): Charged with felony embezzlement and felony grand theft.

The investigations were conducted by the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Bishop Paiute Tribe. The cases are being prosecuted by the Inyo County District Attorney’s Office and remain pending in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
