Monterey Police Arrest Three Suspects Following Search Warrant Service on Larkin Street
MONTEREY, CA — Monterey Police officers arrested three individuals on May 26, 2026, after executing a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of Larkin Street.
The operation took place at approximately 8:51 A.M. Upon entering and searching the property, law enforcement personnel located methamphetamine, fentanyl, a loaded handgun, metal knuckles, and drug paraphernalia.
The search resulted in the following arrests and bookings:
Gary Hunt of Monterey: Arrested on multiple charges including felon in possession of a firearm, a treatment-mandated felony, possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of metal knuckles, and possession of a switchblade knife. Hunt was booked into the Monterey County Jail and is being held without bail.
Ian Van Dyke of Monterey: Arrested for a treatment-mandated felony, possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, attempting to destroy evidence, and a probation violation. Van Dyke was booked into the Monterey County Jail and is being held without bail.
David Johnson of Monterey: Arrested for being under the influence of narcotics. Johnson was booked into the Monterey City Jail, with bail established at $3,500.
