Irvine Resident Arrested Following Road Rage Incident Near Jamboree and Main
IRVINE, CA — The Irvine Police Department recently arrested a 44-year-old man following a road-rage incident near the intersection of Jamboree Road and Main Street.
According to law enforcement officials, the driver of a Toyota Tacoma cut in front of another vehicle and applied the brakes. While the driver of the second vehicle managed to maneuver past, the operator of the Tacoma continued to follow them. When both vehicles subsequently stopped at a traffic light, the driver of the Tacoma pointed a handgun at the other driver.
A motor officer operating in the vicinity located the Tacoma with the assistance of the department’s Drone as First Responder technology.
The driver, identified as Brian Sunki Oh of Irvine, was placed under arrest and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Officers conducted a search of the Tacoma and recovered a handgun inside the vehicle.
