Howe Avenue Shooting Suspect Sought by Sheriff’s Office
SACRAMENTO, CA — June 6th 2026 — “At approximately 11:20 a.m. June 6, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of a shooting inside a business located in the 1000 block of Howe Avenue.
Deputies responded immediately to the shooting call and entered the business, where they located a 31-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Deputies began life-saving measures and requested emergency medical personnel. Despite those efforts, Fire pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation has determined the suspect fled the area in a vehicle prior to deputies’ arrival. Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives have responded and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
