Driver Arrested on Multiple Charges After Reports of Public Disturbance Near Laguna Lake Mobile Estates
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA — Officers with the San Luis Obispo Police Department responded to multiple reports of a male causing a public disturbance on Tuesday night at approximately 8:40 p.m. in the neighborhood near Capistrano and Portola. According to authorities, the individual was driving through the area and shouting at residents. The driver then repeatedly drove his vehicle into a parked pickup truck before leaving the scene.
Law enforcement personnel located the suspect’s vehicle, a silver Prius, in the vicinity of Del Rio and Prefumo Canyon. The driver initially failed to stop for officers but eventually yielded to a traffic stop on Thelma Drive, located inside the Laguna Lake Mobile Estates. Upon being stopped, the driver reportedly became combative, and officers detained him following a brief physical struggle.
Following the encounter, the driver was placed under arrest. He faces multiple charges, including felony vandalism under PC 594(b)(1), misdemeanor resisting arrest under PC 148(a)(1), and misdemeanor driving under the influence under CVC 23152(a).
