Three Juveniles Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery in Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA, CA — “On May 4, 2026, an officer with the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) was dispatched to a late report of a robbery that originally occurred on May 1 in the 1700 block of Peterson Lane. The officer learned that a small group of teenagers were waiting for a ride when they saw a suspicious vehicle pass by and pull into a nearby parking lot. The suspects, a group of teen males, exited the vehicle and approached the teens. One of the suspects then demanded that the victims give them the jewelry they were wearing, while a second suspect lifted his shirt to reveal a gun in his waistband. The first suspect then forcibly removed a gold chain from the neck of one of the victims. After witnessing this, the second victim handed over his jewelry. The suspects then ran back to their vehicle and left the scene. Officers learned that during this incident, the suspects made statements that indicated they were likely associated with a criminal street gang. It is not believed that the victims have any gang affiliation.

The SRPD Gang Crimes Team began investigating this incident, and over the course of their investigation, three suspects were identified. On May 26, as detectives were preparing to serve search warrants at two Santa Rosa homes associated with the suspects, two of the suspects were seen driving away from their residence in the 700 block of Bellevue Avenue. Uniformed SRPD officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detained the suspects without incident. Detectives then served the search warrant at the residence and located an unregistered 9mm handgun and two privately manufactured firearms, also known as ‘ghost guns.’ The firearms were found, loaded and unsecured, in the bedroom of the suspects’ uninvolved younger sibling.

The 17-year-old male suspect was arrested for the following offenses:

211 PC – Robbery
182(a)(1) PC – Conspiracy

The second suspect, who was a minor at the time the robbery was committed and therefore will not be identified, was arrested for the following offenses:

211 PC – Robbery
182(a)(1) PC – Conspiracy
23920 PC – Possession of an unregistered firearm
273(a) PC – Child endangerment

The third suspect was arrested during a traffic stop upon leaving his residence in the 2700 block of Morgan Creek Street. No evidence related to this incident was located during the service of the search warrant at this residence.

This suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile male, was arrested for the following offenses:

211 PC – Robbery
182(a)(1) PC – Conspiracy

The Santa Rosa Police Department’s Gang Crimes Team remains committed to reducing violence in our community through a balanced approach of prevention, intervention, education, and enforcement. The recovery of multiple illegal firearms, including privately manufactured ‘ghost guns,’ underscores the ongoing threat these weapons pose to public safety, especially when found unsecured and accessible to minors.”
