Non-Lethal Device Deployed to Detain Man Damaging Property and Threatening Officers at Massage Parlor

VISALIA, CA — A 53-year-old man was taken into custody after causing extensive property damage and threatening both employees and responding officers at a local massage parlor.

Visalia Police Department officers dispatched to a massage establishment located on the 3200 block of South Fairway shortly after 7:00 p.m. following emergency calls detailing a disturbance. Witnesses reported that a male customer was actively shattering items inside the building and verbally threatening to shoot the employees, though no firearm was visibly displayed.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect was still inside the business premise. The man was actively destroying property, smashing internal fixtures, and hurling items out of the building. He also attempted to break the storefront windows from the inside. When officers established contact from the exterior, the suspect shifted his verbal threats toward the police personnel, stating he would kill them.

The suspect, identified as Brady Daniel, eventually exited the building. When he refused to comply with initial police commands, officers deployed a non-lethal device to safely subdue him. Daniel was then taken into custody without further incident.

No officers or employees sustained physical injuries during the confrontation. Daniel was transported to the Tulare County Jail and booked on criminal charges of vandalism, making criminal threats, and resisting a peace officer.
