OJAI VALLEY, CA – May 7, 2026 – A string of overnight vehicle break-ins across the Ojai Valley led investigators to the
arrest of Wyatt Revard, 27, of Ojai.

He now stands charged with stealing personal information and using victims’ credit cards at businesses throughout Ventura County.

According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Detective Brian Dent,
on the morning of May 5, residents in the unincorporated Mira Monte area
“discovered property missing from vehicles that had been left unlocked overnight.” The
missing property included “credit cards and other personal identifying information.”

Before long, some of those stolen cards began turning up in fraudulent transactions at
businesses in Ojai and Ventura, prompting a wider investigation by Ojai Patrol deputies
and the Ojai Detective Bureau. Detectives “tracked the activity and ultimately identified
Revard” as the suspect in the burglaries.

Later that same day, officers with the Ventura Police Department were dispatched to a
reported “theft in progress involving one of the stolen credit cards.” Deputies responded
promptly to the reported location where the credit card was in use, made contact with
Revard, and took him into custody.

Revard was then transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on multiple
counts of identity theft, possession of a stun gun, and “an active parole hold.”
