Wasco Man Arrested After Freeway Pursuit and Disposal of Narcotics

IRVINE, CA-An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation on Sand Canyon last Tuesday, leading to a pursuit and the arrest of a 41-year-old man.

The driver, identified as Mason Gerald Miller of Wasco, failed to yield and fled onto the 5 Freeway. During the pursuit, the driver was observed discarding bags of suspected illegal narcotics from the vehicle’s window. The chase concluded after Miller exited the freeway at the Bake Parkway and Lake Forest Drive off-ramp, where his vehicle became disabled.

Miller was taken into custody and booked on multiple charges, including evading police, possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, and destroying evidence. He was also processed for an outstanding probation violation warrant.
