Santa Rosa Man Arrested for Allegedly Firing into Occupied Cotati Home

COTATI, CA — “On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at approximately 11:18 p.m., the Cotati Police Dispatch Center received numerous calls reporting multiple gunshots heard in the 7000 block of Marsh Way in Cotati.

Multiple officers with the Cotati Police Department and Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety responded to the area and determined that approximately six rounds had been fired through a bedroom window into the residence. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to identify a suspect and subsequently executed a search warrant at a residence in Windsor.

Robert Lee Grant, age 18, of Santa Rosa was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail on the following felony charges:

• 246 PC – Shooting at an inhabited dwelling
• 25800(a) PC – Carrying a firearm in public with the intent to commit a felony
• 25850(c)(2) PC – Possession of a stolen firearm while concealed on one’s person
