Arizona Man Arrested Following Domestic Dispute and Shelter-in-Place Order

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – Officers from the San Luis Obispo area arrested a 35-year-old man on multiple charges following a reported domestic dispute on Friday, April 10, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 10:47 p.m. in the 900 block of Valecito, where authorities were dispatched to manage a reported disorderly situation involving a male and a female.

The reporting party informed dispatchers that a physical argument had taken place with her boyfriend, who had been consuming alcohol. Following the encounter, the suspect, identified as Travis Pease of Lake Havasu, Arizona, left the property on foot. Based on reports that the suspect might be in possession of firearms, law enforcement issued a Reverse 911 alert, advising nearby residents to shelter in place.

An officer established telephone contact with Pease, eventually determining his location on Prefumo Canyon Road. Responding officers subsequently located and detained him without further incident. Upon inspecting Pease’s vehicle, which remained parked at the Valecito residence, officers recovered several firearms and brass knuckles.

The investigation into the evening’s events determined that Pease pushed the female victim multiple times and prevented her from exiting the residence. Additionally, authorities found that juice and gasoline had been poured onto the victim’s vehicle.

Pease was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on several charges, including felony false imprisonment with force, felony vandalism, misdemeanor domestic battery, and misdemeanor possession of brass knuckles. He is currently being held without bail, and the shelter-in-place order for the neighborhood has been lifted.
