San Bernardino Multi-Agency Operation Leads to 14 Arrests and Seizure of Ghost Guns
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, in coordination with several partnering agencies, conducted a series of enforcement actions between April 6 and April 12, 2026. The operations, part of a multi-agency initiative titled “Operation Consequences,” resulted in 14 arrests and the seizure of multiple firearms and narcotics.
During the one-week operational period, the Gangs/Narcotics Division and patrol deputies executed seven search warrants throughout the county. Concurrently, the San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlums (SMASH) Street Enforcement Team (SET) carried out proactive patrols in the High Desert and surrounding regions.
According to department records, the enforcement actions led to the recovery of six firearms, three of which were identified as ghost guns. Officers also seized more than two pounds of suspected narcotics. Of the 14 individuals taken into custody, 11 were booked on felony charges and three were booked on misdemeanor charges. The contacts involved identified gang members and individuals prohibited from firearm possession.
Operation Consequences is funded through a county-wide crime suppression authorization from the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. The program is designed to increase law enforcement services to address quality-of-life issues. Over the coming months, the operation will continue to target violent crime and the illegal manufacturing and trafficking of firearms within the High Desert and the Sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino.
The initiative involves a collaborative effort between the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol, the San Bernardino Police Department, San Bernardino County Probation, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
