Multi-Agency Operation Leads to Arrest of Parole Absconder in Sexual Abuse Investigation

PORTERVILLE, CA — Porterville Police Detectives initiated a sexual abuse investigation on March 20, 2026, following reports of the sexual abuse of a juvenile victim. Investigators determined that an adult male had established communication with the minor through social media and had traveled to Porterville on multiple occasions to engage in sexual conduct.

Through investigative leads, detectives identified the suspect as 28-year-old Antonio Martinez. It was further discovered that Martinez had been absconding from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Parole for approximately one year, and his previous whereabouts were unknown.

On April 2, 2026, detectives tracked Martinez to the Delano area. A joint operation involving the Porterville Police Department, CDCR, and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Team resulted in Martinez being located and taken into custody in the City of Richgrove.

Following the arrest, Martinez was booked into the South County Detention Facility. The investigation remains ongoing, and the Porterville Police Department is requesting that anyone with information contact their office or submit tips via their social media platforms.
