Folsom Police Seize Loaded Ghost Gun After Threats to Employees

FOLSOM, CA  — “On Saturday, April 4, just before 2:00 a.m., Folsom Police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Gold Lake Drive following reports of a male subject who threatened employees, stating he would shoot and kill them, and reportedly brandished a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers located and detained the subject near his vehicle. During the investigation, officers observed what appeared to be a handgun magazine protruding from beneath the driver’s seat. A records check showed the subject did not have any firearms registered in his name.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded, unregistered “ghost gun,” a high-capacity magazine, and 100 additional rounds of ammunition.

Jordell Haggins, 23, of Sacramento, was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including making criminal threats, possession of a high-capacity magazine, brandishing a firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm in public.

We commend our patrol officers for their relentless pursuit of criminal behavior, professionalism, and commitment to public safety in responding swiftly to this incident and helping keep our community safe.”
