Sacramento man Arrested on Felony Possession of Child Pornography
April 7, 2026
“A Citrus Heights patrol officer working the graveyard shift initiated an investigation earlier this year following a cyber-tip related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Working closely with our General Investigations Unit, including detectives specifically trained on digital forensics, this patrol case was developed into a search and arrest warrant for the suspect.
Monday night, our graveyard officers safely executed the operation to take this suspect safely into custody.
Jorge Farfan, 40, of Sacramento, was arrested on charges of distribution and possession of child pornography.
CSAM investigations are complex, but they are not anonymous crimes. Digital evidence leaves a trail, and our investigators are committed to following it wherever it leads.
Crimes involving the exploitation of children remain among the most serious we investigate. We will continue to prioritize these cases and hold these offenders accountable.
Remember: Online doesn’t mean anonymous.”
