Extensive Weapons and Narcotics Seizure in Yuba City Leads to Felony Arrest

YUBA CITY, CA — On February 24, 2026, agents with the Yuba-Sutter Narcotic and Gang Task Force (NET-5) executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of Manchester Way as part of an investigation into illegal firearms and controlled substances. The operation, supported by the Yuba City Police Department and the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old Rajdep Singh Chima.

During the search, authorities recovered 44 firearms. According to law enforcement, 21 of these were classified as illegal, including a machine gun, one stolen firearm, and 10 weapons without serial numbers. Additionally, agents seized 12 suppressors—consisting of one factory-made and 11 homemade units—along with 34 high-capacity magazines and a quantity of fireworks.

The search also yielded various controlled substances, including Alprazolam, Vicodin, and amphetamine pills, as well as small amounts of DMT, cocaine, and marijuana.

Court records indicate that Chima faces multiple felony charges, including possession of a machine gun, possession of assault weapons, and possession of a controlled substance while armed. Following his arrest, Chima was booked into the Sutter County Jail. The case has been referred to the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office, with a continued arraignment scheduled for May 11, 2026 under case number CRF26-0000657.
