Nanny Arrested on Child Abuse Allegations in Lincoln, CA
LINCOLN, CA — March 19th 2026
“On March 16, Lincoln Police Department officers responded to Markham Ravine Park for a welfare check after a reporting party expressed concern that a young child was being abused by an adult female.
The reporting party stated they witnessed the child being abused multiple times, and provided information (including video) that assisted officers in the investigation.
Officers continued the investigation after two witnesses followed the suspect, Suzanne Buhler, 41, of Lincoln, to a residence in Lincoln.
Based on the information obtained during the investigation, Buhler was arrested and booked on felony child abuse charges. The child had visible injuries consistent with the reported assault and was provided appropriate assistance. The child is safe and with their family.
LPD takes allegations of child abuse extremely seriously. Protecting children is a top priority, and we will pursue a thorough investigation and hold offenders accountable.
Investigators have also learned that, prior to this incident, Buhler advertised nanny services on multiple internet sites/apps and may have provided childcare services to other families.
