Roseville Retail Theft: Repeat Suspect Arrested with Drugs and Stolen Tech

ROSEVILLE, CA  — “Great teamwork led to the arrest of a repeat theft suspect responsible for stealing high-end computers from two separate retailer locations just four days apart. In each case, the suspect walked out with a computer with a combined value of $5,000.

Patrol officers quickly connected the cases and identified the suspect vehicle. After sharing the information during briefings, officers located the vehicle the very next day on Interstate 80 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was wearing the same clothing captured on CCTV during both thefts.

A search of the vehicle uncovered more than two ounces of methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, and a scale. A records check revealed the suspect is a convicted felon and a registered sex offender.

Detectives responded and authored a search warrant for the suspect’s residence. During the search, officers recovered:

• One of the stolen computers
• Methamphetamine
• Heroin
• Ammunition
• Pepper spray

Kenneth Reynolds, 66, of Sacramento was booked into the South Placer County Jail on the following charges:

• PC 487 – Grand Theft
• PC 459 – Burglary

• HS 11379(a) – Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale
• PC 22810 – Felon in Possession of Pepper Spray
