OCEANSIDE, CA – The Oceanside Police Department has announced that a 17-year-old male has been charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on December 22, 2025. According to official reports, the incident took place at approximately 5:53 a.m. at a 7-Eleven store located in Oceanside.
Surveillance footage obtained from the business showed two masked male suspects entering the establishment. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects also took several alcoholic beverages from the store before fleeing the scene.
Detectives from the Oceanside Police Department’s Crimes of Violence Unit were assigned to the case. Through their investigative efforts and information provided by a member of the community, detectives identified the armed suspect as a 17-year-old juvenile. At the time of his identification in this case, the suspect was already being held at Juvenile Hall on unrelated charges.
The case has been submitted to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, and formal charges have since been filed against the minor. The investigation into the second suspect remains ongoing.
