Former Napa Music Instructor Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

NAPA, CA – The Napa Police Department has arrested a 61-year-old Napa resident following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving a minor. The incident was reported to have occurred in 2018. According to official reports, the victim was a student at the Napa School of Music at the time of the incident.

The suspect, identified as Sean Eric Allen, served as the victim’s instructor at the school. Records indicate that Allen was employed by the Napa School of Music between 2005 and 2021. The case was initially reported to Napa Police Patrol personnel before being transferred to detectives within the Investigations Unit. During the subsequent investigation, detectives gathered additional evidence and information regarding Allen’s conduct and history.

Following the investigation, a warrant was issued in connection with the 2018 case. Members of the Napa Police Department located and arrested Allen on February 25, 2026. He was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections on several charges, including four counts of oral copulation with a person under 18 years (PC 287(b)(1)) and two counts of sexual penetration with a person under 18 years (PC 289h).

Additional charges filed against Allen include attempted sodomy with a person under 18 years (PC 286(b)(1)), contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sex offense (PC 288.3(a)), and meeting with a minor for a lewd or lascivious act (PC 288.4(b)). The judicial process for these charges is currently pending.
