Community Tips Lead to Suspect’s Arrest in Connection with Three Burglaries

MORGAN HILL, CA — “Last night, a local business on Monterey Road reported someone attempting to break the glass. Just minutes later, a second business owner called to report a burglary in progress.

While officers were clearing the second business, an alert resident contacted dispatch to report a subject actively breaking into a third business on Main Street. The caller provided critical information that helped officers quickly identify the suspect.

Moments later, the suspect approached officers claiming ownership of the vehicle associated with the incidents. He was detained, and officers retraced his path—locating shoes, a sweatshirt, gloves, and other key evidence he had discarded.

Although the suspect initially attempted to provide an alternate version of events, Officer Vieira thoroughly investigated the inconsistencies in his story, ultimately obtaining a confession to all three burglaries.”
