ADELANTO, CA — Homicide detectives with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department have initiated an investigation following the death of an Adelanto resident on Sunday morning. According to official reports, deputies from the Victor Valley Station were dispatched to the 11200 block of Auburn Avenue at approximately 12:24 a.m. on February 15, 2026, after receiving reports of gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement personnel located 26-year-old Dajon Session. Deputies observed that Session appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound. Personnel from American Medical Response (AMR) attended to the individual and pronounced him deceased at the location.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail subsequently arrived at the site and took over the primary investigation. As of current reporting, no suspects have been identified or taken into custody. The case has been assigned number DR# 242600400 (H# 2026-017).
