Two Arrested for Alleged Shoplifting, Possession of Narcotics in Healdsburg
HEALDSBURG, CA — “On Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2026, Healdsburg Police responded to a theft at Big John’s Market on Healdsburg Avenue.
Store employees reported that two people had taken alcohol from the store without paying and left the scene. One person, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, ran away on foot. The second person went to a white Nissan sedan parked in the lot.
When police arrived, they found one person, Rosauro Saenz, near the vehicle. The other person had already left the area.
Officers began searching the surrounding area for the outstanding suspect. At approximately 3:58 p.m., officers located a male matching the suspect description in the area of Hotel Trio. The suspect was identified as Juan Moranmiranda. When officers attempted to contact Moranmiranda, he fled on foot, leading to a brief foot pursuit. Officers successfully apprehended Moranmiranda after he failed to comply with verbal commands to stop. During the apprehension, Moranmiranda sustained a minor injury and was offered medical evaluation, which he declined.
Store security cameras showed both people arriving together and taking items without paying. When police searched the vehicle, they found suspected illegal drugs, including suspected fentanyl and marijuana.
Both suspects were found to be on active probation with search terms and have prior theft convictions.
Juan Moranmiranda and Rosauro Saenz were arrested and taken to Sonoma County Jail on the following charges:
– Felony Petty Theft with Prior Theft Convictions
– Felony Grand Theft
– Felony Conspiracy
– Violation of Probation
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Possession of Marijuana
Moranmiranda is also charged with Resisting a Peace Officer.”
