FOLSOM, CA — “On Wednesday, January 28, the Folsom Police Department Special Investigations Unit, working in collaboration with patrol operations and a national retailer located in our city, conducted an Organized Retail Theft “blitz” operation aimed at addressing the ongoing rise in retail theft impacting Folsom, the region, and the state.
During the operation, detectives arrested three individuals on felony and misdemeanor theft charges, issued a formal trespass notice to a previously identified theft suspect, and assisted the retailer by providing education to a juvenile suspected of shoplifting.
Those arrested were:
• Robert Carroll, Sacramento
• Aida Ilie, 31, of Sacramento
• Jeronimo Podestaklappenbach, 37, of Folsom
All three individuals were known theft suspects from prior incidents and were arrested on a combination of felony and misdemeanor theft charges, as well as outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.
The Folsom Police Department is grateful for its strong partnerships with our local business community and their continued collaboration in addressing quality-of-life crimes. The men and women of the Folsom Police Department remain committed to serving our community through the proactive, professional, and courageous pursuit of criminal activity.”
