Sacramento, CA —

“Last June, Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect for the sale of fentanyl. This arrest launched a larger investigation by SPD’s East Problem Oriented Policing (EPOP) Team into a ring of drug dealers in Sacramento, leading to a single primary supplier.

Earlier this month, SPD served a search warrant locating more than 13 grams of cocaine, 18 grams of methamphetamine, over 1 pound of Fentanyl, a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine, and over $47,000 in cash. The suspect, 34-year-old Daniel Perez of Sacramento, was arrested for narcotics, trafficking and firearms related charges.

Special thanks to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and CHP who assisted in the investigation. This case highlights the dedicated work of SPD teams and partners to disrupt drug trafficking and improve community safety.”
