Fresno Man Arrested for the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Minor
FRESNO, CA — “In November 2025, a male drove up next to a female juvenile while she was walking to school near South Cedar Avenue and East Cesar Chavez Boulevard. The male solicited the juvenile to get into his vehicle. The victim declined and continued walking to school.
During the investigation, detectives discovered a separate incident in September 2025. In this second incident, the same adult male drove up next to a juvenile as she was walking to school near South Cedar Avenue and East Church Avenue. The male suspect solicited the juvenile to perform a sexual act with him. After multiple requests, the juvenile entered the suspect vehicle, and the male drove the juvenile to a nearby parking lot, where numerous sex crimes occurred. The male suspect then drove the juvenile to school.
The suspect in both incidents was positively identified as 30-year-old Santiago Flores. On January 13, 2026, Flores was taken into custody in Mendota, California, for multiple sexual assault related charges related to this investigation.
Although an arrest has been made, the Fresno Police Department needs help from the community to locate additional persons who might have encountered Santiago Flores and might have potentially been victims of additional crimes.
