Multijurisdictional Operation Leads to Narcotics Seizure and Four Arrests in Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – On Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), in coordination with several partner law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at a residence in Oakland, resulting in the seizure of over 4.5 pounds of narcotics. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation conducted by the SFPD Narcotics Unit and the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC), with assistance from the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, and the National Guard.

During the search, officers recovered 1,811.1 grams of methamphetamine, 195.7 grams of fentanyl, and 38.4 grams of cocaine base. In addition to the controlled substances, law enforcement seized ammunition, narcotics press molds, scales, packaging supplies, and $6,730.06 in United States currency.

Four individuals were taken into custody during the operation. The suspects, all residents of Oakland, were identified as 29-year-old Delmer Coello, 52-year-old Wilmer Cerrato Barahona, 26-year-old Jose Roberto Espinoza Martinez, and 63-year-old Jose Castro Cruz Araias. According to the SFPD, the suspects had outstanding state and federal warrants and face multiple charges related to narcotics and weapons violations.

Chief Derrick Lew stated that the department remains committed to addressing drug markets and the distribution of narcotics. This operation follows a period of increased enforcement that began in October 2025, specifically targeting the Tenderloin, South of Market, and Mission neighborhoods. Since the establishment of DMACC in May 2023, the SFPD has reported over 12,300 arrests and the seizure of more than 1,000 pounds of narcotics.

The investigation into this case remains open and active. Law enforcement officials have requested that anyone with relevant information contact the SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or utilize the TIP411 text system.
