AirTag Tracking Leads to High-Speed Chase and Drone Capture in Corona
CORONA, CA – “CAUGHT IN 4k📸
On January 12, 2026, Corona Police officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that was tracked using an Apple AirTag. Officers located the vehicle parked and unoccupied; however, while officers were speaking with the victim nearby, a suspect entered the vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed.
With the assistance of the Drone as First Responders (DFR) team we were able to locate the vehicle after it was involved in a traffic collision.
Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody.
